Crime Increasing In Your Area? Install A Security System To Keep You And Your Family Safe

If the crime in your area is increasing, you need to take steps to keep you and your family safe if you are not able to move. One way to do this is to install a security system. Below are two different types of systems you can choose so you can get everything installed.

Monitored Security System

A monitored security system is connected to a security company. If the alarm on your system goes off, the security company is notified immediately. They will then call you to make sure you are having an actual emergency and then send police, firetrucks, ambulance, etc. to your home. There may be times when you accidentally set off the alarm, such as if you enter the code wrong too many times.

When the security company arrives at your home, they install sensors on all windows and doors, as well as security locks on the front door. They can install several systems for you. For example, along with the security system they can also install security lights, security cameras, etc.

One of the main benefits of a monitored security system is you will not have to worry about your home even when you are away. You also do not have to worry about installing the system on your own as they do this for you.

Unmonitored Security System

Unmonitored security systems are also called self-monitored systems. With this, you alone monitor the system. You can purchase a system that includes things like door sensors, motion sensors, sirens, security cameras, and more. Most systems also come with smartphone applications so you can remotely monitor your home using your smartphone or any other device that is connected to the Internet.

There are many advantages of choosing a self-monitored system. First, it is much less expensive as you will not have to pay a monthly payment to a security company. You also get notified in real-time if your system is activated which will then allow you to quickly contact 911.

If you move, you can easily take your unmonitored system with you and reinstall it at your new home. One of the only cons of this system, however, is it is possible that you may not get an alert on time and would not be able to contact authorities in time. For example, you may be away from your phone when something happens.

A security company can give you much more information on security systems installations to help you make the right choice.
